Day 1 Travel Day / St. Louis
Board your “Tennessee Valley Railroad”
coach for a trip of nostalgia along with beautiful
fall foliage. Your tour director will help
you get to know your travel mates with fun
onboard activities.
Day 2 Graceland (B, D)
Leave the Gateway City and head to Memphis
where Rock & Roll and The Blues
have their roots. This afternoon, tour Elvis
Presley’s Graceland; 14 acres of everything
devoted to Elvis. You’ll tour his Mansion
and get a glimpse of the life of the King of
Rock & Roll, along with seeing his custom
jets and automobile museum. Also included
in your visit are the exhibits Private Presley
and Sincerely Elvis Museums. You’ll know
Elvis inside and out before you leave.
Day 3 Memphis City Tour / Rock ‘N Soul Museum / Gibson Guitar Factory / National Civil Rights Museum (B, D)
This morning, your local guide will take you
on a historical tour of Memphis to include
the march of the ducks at the Peabody Hotel,
the Danny Thomas Tribute, Sun Records
Studio and Beale Street. This afternoon,
visit the Memphis Rock ‘N’ Soul Museum
that examines the lives of such legends as
Elvis Presley, B.B. King, and Memphis’
musical heritage and contributions to Blues,
Country, Rock & Roll, and Soul. Then, get
a behind-the-scenes look at a Gibson Guitar
manufacturing facility to see how those beautiful
instruments are made. Lastly, a visit to
the National Civil Rights Museum tells of
the key events in the Civil Rights Movement
and is housed in the Lorraine Motel, where
Martin Luther King, Jr. was assassinated.
Day 4 Chattanooga / Rock City (B)
It’s Chattanooga or bust! – Home to the Tennessee
Valley Railroad. This afternoon, visit
Rock City Gardens. Perched high atop Lookout
Mountain, these beautifully-landscaped
grounds have trails that weave over and under
natural rock formations with beautiful native
flowers and trees. The view from on top
Lookout Mountain is spectacular.
Day 4 Tennessee Valley Railroad Autumn
Leaf Train Excursion (B, L)
It’s what you’ve been waiting for – an allday,
fall foliage train excursion aboard the
Tennessee Valley Railroad. All aboooard the
Autumn Leaf Train for a trip down memory
lane when train travel was king. Powered
by a mighty steam locomotive, your vintage
train follows an historic route from Grand
Junction Station in Chattanooga to Summerville,
Georgia. Relax and take in the beautiful
fall colors right outside your window. In the
restored 1924 dining car they are preparing a
delicious lunch for you. Take time to explore
Summerville with its historic turntable where
the locomotive will be rotated for the return
trip. It’ll be a great day of trainin’.
Day 6 Nashville City Tour / Country Music
Hall of Fame / Opryland Hotel (B, D)
Arrive in Nashville mid morning where your
local guide will point out all the sights that
you’ll want to see. Included will be the Ryman
Auditorium, the original home of the Grand
Ol’ Opry. This afternoon, visit the Country
Music Hall of Fame where you’ll get a firsthand
look at the music business. Check into
your hotel for a little “R & R” before heading
over to enjoy dinner with your fellow travel
mates. This evening, take a stroll through the
beautiful Opryland Hotel and take a Delta
Riverboat Ride on their indoor river!
Day 7 Missouri Botanical Garden (B, D)
Upon arrival in St. Louis, visit the Missouri
Botanical Garden with over 79 acres of
outdoor display gardens and conservatories.
Your tram ride will provide an overview of
these beautiful gardens to include the exquisite
Japanese Garden. Then, enjoy one last
evening with your friends at a farewell dinner
hosted by Fun Tours.
Day 8 Travel Home (B)
It’s time to head home after a trip down
memory lane on the Tennessee Valley Railroad
with Fun Tours.
