Day 1 Omaha-Rome

Day 2 & 3: Rome
Visit to the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel. Continue to St. Peters Square and Basilica. Cross the Tiber and visit the Colosseum and the Roman Forum. (D, B)

Day 4: Rome-Pisa-Lucca
This morning, head north along the Tyrrhenian coastline. Stop in Pisa for lunch and to take pictures of its Leaning Tower. Then, continue to Lucca. (B, D)

Day 5: Lucca-San Gimignano-Siena-Florence
A scenic day in Tuscany! In the afternoon, drive along the Chianti Road leading from Siena due north to Florence. Next a stop at splendid Verrazzano Castle. (B, D)

Day 6: Florence
Visit the Academy of Fine Arts with Michelangelo’s celebrated David and the magnificent Cathedral. (B)

Day 7: Florence-Verona-Venice
Stop by Verona, setting of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet. Arrive in Venice. Enjoy a free evening. (B)

Day 8: Venice
Enter in style by private boat and enjoy morning sightseeing with your local guide.Then, enjoy Venice at your own pace or join an optional gondola ride. (B)

Day 9: Venice-Ravenna-Assisi
Travel along the coastline of the Adriatic Sea to Ravenna. In the afternoon, arrive in Assisi. Visit St. Clare’s Church and St. Francis Basilica. (B, D)

Day 10: Assisi-Orvieto-Rome
Following the Tiber Valley, we reach Orvieto, perched high atop a volcanic rock. Ride a modern Funicular right through the forbidding ramparts. Return to Rome. This evening, enjoy a farewell dinner. (B, D)
