This company was established in 2000. It’s mission is to enhance the quality of life of the blind and visually impaired. Outlook Nebraska, Inc. (ONI) provides employment and workplace training to the blind and visually impaired in an Omahabased converting operation that supplies a full line of 100 percent recycled fiber content tissue and towel products to the U.S. Government and other customers. They are the largest employer of the blind and visually impaired in Nebraska and the only agency of its kind in a seven-state region. ONI provides additional services for its associates, including social activities, education, technology and adaptive aids training and health and wellness programs.

Several years ago, blind associates worked a total of 55,181 hours, earning accumulative $622,252, much of which in turn is spent on goods and service in the local community. ONI employs people of many different ethnicities and ages, even persons beyond age 70. ONI has an overall economic impact of $23.60 million per year and positively affects hundreds of individuals in the community….and they continue to grow. While Corporate America is trying to eliminate jobs and labor costs, ONI is offering competitive wages and benefits to an underutilized, but very capable group of Americans. A delicious evening meal will be enjoyed at the Farmhouse Café.
